Dr Victoria Hogg BVetMed MRVCS

A local Wandsworth Resident, pet owner and Veterinary Surgeon.

"... veterinary medicine has never simply been a profession. It is, and always will be, a vocation"

After qualifying from the Royal Veterinary College in 2007, Vicky went on to build a career founded on compassion, integrity, and a lifelong dedication to animal care.

From an early age, she always knew she wanted to be a vet - a natural combination of a deep love of animals, a passion for science, and a practical desire to work hands-on. That determination was shaped further by a strong work ethic developed in childhood as a national gymnast, where discipline, resilience, and commitment became second nature.

Her experiences growing up surrounded by family animals, and later caring for her first dog while at university, have profoundly shaped the vet she is today. She has experienced the joy of watching some of her own pets reach their late teens, as well as the heartbreak of losing a much-loved companion far too young to a rare juvenile degenerative disease. Having experienced both the happiest and hardest parts of pet ownership herself, she understands just how deeply animals become part of the family. Those experiences have given her a genuine appreciation of the emotions, worries and difficult decisions owners face, and she strives to ensure every client feels listened to, supported and never alone throughout their pet’s journey.

Although owning a clinic was never the original dream, the veterinary profession has changed rapidly over the years. Through both excellent experiences in practice and a growing desire to protect ethical, genuine veterinary care from increasing corporate and venture capitalist pressures, it became clear that creating an independent clinic was essential. The vision for The London Vet was therefore born from a belief that outstanding patient care, honest relationships, clinical independence, and a happy team should always come first.

A South West London resident since 2008, Vicky feels deeply connected to the local community and considers it a true privilege to care for its pets. The heart of the practice has always been inspired by her own animals, each of whom has taught her something valuable. To support families through the lives of their beloved four-legged companions - and, over time, to watch those families grow and generations mature - is one of the greatest honours of her career.

Vicky’s particular clinical interests include pain management, veterinary acupuncture, neurology and geriatric medicine. She is especially passionate about improving quality of life for patients living with chronic pain, neurological conditions and the challenge of growing old gracefully, believing that thoughtful, individualised care can make an enormous difference to both pets and the families who love them.

For Vicky, veterinary medicine has never simply been a profession. It is, and always will be, a vocation.
